Hi cruisers

My dad bought his SY / Island Packet 32
1991 yacht called Amazing Grace in Florida he’s sadly passed away after many happy years of sailing around many countries.
I need help finding any documents to prove he bought the boat in 2005 in Florida. Is there an archive? Can I find something? I have more details on the boat. Please can anyone direct me where to look?

A friend bought a boat from someone that had lost the title, and they had to have the state do a title search. I would assume you'll need to do something similar.

If it was sailing around the world, it might be coast guard documented. You'll need to find the HIN (hull identification number) on the boat. Ours is in our engine compartment, but maybe someone can comment on where it is in an Island Packet.
