Bilge pump diaphragm

We have 3 of the manual Mark V whale gusher pumps. One flushes our Lavac toilet. I often leave white vinegar in the system to try to limit the calcification in the outlet hose. Just discovered the diaphragm torn most of inner circumference. Could be age but does anyone know if vinegar damages the nitrile diaphragm?

Vinegar is Acetic Acid, which has a Minor to Moderate Effect on Nitrile Rubber.
