Bahamian Dog Permits Great News

I have had a vacation home in the Southern Bahamas for 8 years and I bring two dogs back and forth from the US. Getting dog permits has always been difficult due to the application/ payment( cash or money order) faxing or snail mailing permits to the US. I am happy to report for the first time the Dept. of Agriculture has emailed me the permits directly. I hope this helps cruising dog owners expedite this normally very slow, very frustrating at times, process.

Re: Bahamian Dog Permits

After all the hassle of getting the dog permits, getting the vet report, etc. The Bahama customs guy didn't even ask for the permits. The dogs were standing there sniffing his shoes.

My wife was so angry that she gets right up close to the customs guy and says "Look, these dog permits were a pain to get, I want you to look at them and stamp them with something".

The customs guy was shocked and sheepishly put his stamp on them.

Re: Bahamian Dog Permits

I've done it myself and I have also used a guy who is a pet permit service. His name is Wellington. Wellington's service is much easier.
