I think most of the motors described here are probably larger than what we sailors might use as kickers or
dinghy motors [for instance, the 41 motors stolen from the dealer in the lead paragraphs of the article were said to be worth $700,000, or about $17,000 each on average], but there are some interesting stats in the article:
