Anybody on Here in Chicago?

I am going to Florida to buy a sailboat in a few months, but it has been a long time since I've been a skipper! Is there any chance I could pay someone to take me out for a few hours to see if I can still handle it? I could get a charter for $130 Hr, but I would rather help someone who is just a long time sailor. I'd hate to sell my house then find out physically I cannot do it anymore. It would be cheaper for me to slide over to Chicago rather than drive down to Florida. I live in NW Iowa. Thanks for your time.
