Any tips please

Hi,

I am going on my first cruise around various caribbean islands. I have planned to disembark the ship when it docks in Martinique, at 8am, and then head to the airport to get my flight (with Liat) to Grenada, at 10:40. I would really appreciate any tips to make my transition from the ship to the airport etc easier.

Thanks.

Re: Any tips please

Your first "cruise" on a "ship"...do you mean a "Cruise Ship"?

Although you may (unlikley) get some responses here, this isn’t the forum you’re looking for. I’d google cruise ship forum or likewise, you’ll probably get a more helpful response elsewhere.

Re: Any tips please

Just to clarify previous comments.

This is a forum frequented by people who "cruise" in their own smaller boats (usually sailboats), not for passengers on "cruise ships".

I would expect that few people here have ever been on a cruise ship.

Re: Any tips please

We made port in Martinique at Fort-de-France Bay, near Fort St. Louis, one year while on Royal Clipper... and maybe that's where other cruise ships enter...

It's not far from the airport, probably an easy enough taxi ride. Google Maps, zoom in enough, and you can see where the Cruise Terminal is located... and the relationship to where the airport lives.

Maybe the tourist bureau there would be a source for better info for ground transportation... and the ship's purser may even be able to arrange in advance a taxi waiting and ready....
