Re: another rebel heart movie from the sea of cortez
Rebel, You are making some fine memorys !! The children are going to have a life few can hope for !! Cruiseing with there parents, nothing better for a way to grow up! I really wish we had been into pictures when the kids were young! No way we could have afforded a movie camera, and just never had the time or money to buy a really good camera. At least thats what we told each other! LOL now we wish we had hocked something to have film of our kids growing up on the boat! But at least we both still have minds sharp enough to remember ! There's folks out there in the world that have more pics of us all then we do !! keep up the good work and we hope ya continue to share them with all of us !! Thanks again for your work posting these fine pictures, we sure enjoy them !!

Re: another rebel heart movie from the sea of cortez
Great shots. Wonder if you will run into the Bumfuzzles with their kids there, as they are cruising the same area this winter.
Why did you move to the Contour from the GoPro?

Great stuff and so good to see a young family enjoying life afloat together. Is it always that good?

Contour Roam2. I have the waterproof housing and a little mini tripod with a strap.

Love your choice of dingy. What size engine is it?

The 2.5 (or 2.4?) hp air cooled honda. I spray painted the top green but other than that it's original. Definitely not winning any races with it but it's got an integrated tank and I can haul it up with one arm so that's a plus.

My GoPro cameras (two 2's and a 3) all had freezing problems where they would lock up and require the memory card and battery to be removed in order to start again. On when days or when scuba diving or surfing that was just a non starter for me. I also hated getting nickled and dimed so much on every accessory. If you read the amazon reviews on the gopro 3 vs the contour you can see which has happier customers at this point.
We hung out with Pat & Ali for a few weeks in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Really nice people and hopefully we'll run into them as we head north into the sea. I think they're only a couple of hundred miles of north of us right now.

Re: another rebel heart movie from the sea of cortez
And to Bob and everyone else leaving nice comments, thank you guys so much. One of the best things about sailing has been the people you meet. Hands down, the people make the whole thing worth doing. I really hope I get a chance to meet some of you guys!

Re: another rebel heart movie from the sea of cortez
Great video though I had to watch it in spurts due to slow connection here in boot key harbor. I too left my go pro on land. I'm using a Swann for this cruise. Hope to have as nice shots as you did. Though most of mine have been taken underwater so far. Looks like a fun cruise you are on.
