Advice for a trans globe boat ...

Hello all, we currently have a 26ft saying boat and we are starting to look at upgrading to something between 36 to 44 ft, as we want to be able to use it on the south coast of the uk for the next few years but then we want to sail round the world.

Anyway, we are looking to spend about 60,000GBP (we live in the UK) and have seen numerous options, but our criteria are:
Enough headroom for myself (I am 6ft2" tall).
a decent sized aft cabin for us both.
Able to be used to sail round the world in relative comfort, as the majority of the time it will just be the three of (me, wife and dog).
Cost - up to 60,000GBP

we have been looking at various makes and models and we are thinking of:

Beneteau Oceanis 36CC (Center cockpit)
Bavaria 38 Ocean (center cockpit)

So what are peoples thoughts and any other suggestions?

Thanks

Dave

Older Moody's might be worth a look over.
