A West 37 Custom

Trying to get some info on a (alleged) Taiwan built sailboat the seller calls a "West 37 Custome"(his spelling) Well I have scoured the internet to get some background on this vessel. I have included the only exterior photo I could find, thought yall maybe have an idea.

There is a cowling at the entry way that gives me something odd to look for, perhaps yall have seen this before.

Doesnt give me alot of information, just that its homemade boat.

GAZ = Georgia Homemade Boats (Federal or State Agency)
70068 = Boat Serial Number
J0 = Manufactured October 2010
10 = Model year 2010

Should I pay the 20 bucks to get the Boat Alert-History?

Unlikely you'd get anything for your $20 but ...
It's also possible that it was re-HIN'd after damage, write off, a total rebuild that defaced the original HIN etc. It does not look like a 2010 boat.

If it was actually built prior to 1972, the HIN may have been added later.
I'm not familiar with Georgia but you may check the GA office that issues HIN's

So it looks like a road trip is in the making. 10 hour ride on the harley should just about do it, unless I take to the skinny backroads, then a 2 day trip on some pretty damn good twisties.
