Use #1: Keep a lookout for boats that try and get into your paid slip at the marina "Watch Cat"
#2: Keep your cat company while your away. "Nanny Cat"
#3: Watch the docks for any sign of new people or dogs "Cat Scanner"
#4: Be willing to hiss or spray any new boat or docklines "Cattitude"

Heard a story in Key West years ago about one of the local waterfront vagrants citizen. Who started using kittens as bait for fishing. Every time he'd walk down Duval street the other residents would go "meow" behind him. -

Though IMO the story has some poetic justice from the fishes perspective. Baitcat?

Can't think of funny name for it, but they make great fenders. For my boat the the tail length once a clove hitch has been tied is about perfect.
