I have great memories of Hervey Bay. I sailed from Vanuatu via Chesterfield Reef twice with Bundaberg as my port of entry to Australia. I met an Aussie sailor from Mooloolaba, and he gave me tips on how to navigate the Great Sandy Straits, which was a wonderful experience. We anchored for a night at Kingfisher, and walked around Fraser Island a bit. Never saw any whales in Hervey Bay, just unlucky, I guess. Saw more humpbacks than I wanted to see on my voyage years later from Madagascar to Mozambique! Good luck with the sale.

You’ve no doubt addressed this: if you’re able to offer owner financing for a substantial portion of the sales price, you may find a motivated buyer locally. There’s perhaps more risk in this scenario, but it enlarges the pool of potential purchasers.

Maybe email a flyer to everyone who has taken your tour, if you have the addresses. I'd bet there were more than a few who envied what you did.
