You need to find a store that specializes in hardwoods. They exist and are typically not a chain store. The last time I looked, at a place in Berkeley, CA, they wanted about $20/board foot for teak.
Philippine mahogany was about $4.50/board foot. You sure you want teak?

Being a Ravens fan I cant believe I would help a Steelers fan, but you may try Exotic Lumber, INC
www.exoticlumberinc.com
240-632-0385
They do ship nationally and I can speak of their great service and products
Not exactly local, about 4 hours, Gaithersburg & Annapolis Maryland.

Well Thanks for the help, and sorry we have to beat up on ya so many times a year. My old roomate from college was born/raised baltimore, and we've literally had fistfights over the games in past years. Just root for the AFC north, eh?
Thanks for the sight
Cheers

WTF? STEELERS are Gods team. Do you want to upset the almighty?
Good luck with that.

NO. The patriots are not a great team, just an average team that had a great season.
If you want to witness a great team, watch the superbowl. You will see 90% of the Tampa stadium filled with STEELERS fans. A history and a following is what makes a great team, and there is no following remotely close to the STEELERS NATION (I will not even get into history). Cardinals are out of their element, but the STEELERS are acting surprisingly relaxed. Wouldn't surprise me if game were close... STEELERS come out on top for #6!!!!!!!!!
Cheers

And in response to my own thread, if the STEELERS win, I will attatch a TEAK STEELERS emblem to me boat, permanantly.
Cheers

Since you are a ratbirds fan... If we win, you stick a STEELERS sticker to your boat and take a picture of your ugly mug next to it. If we lose, I will do the same with a ravens or cards sticker.
Cheers

There are lots of different types of teak.
Last summer we were buying rough cut Burmese teak in Leb. for just around $10,000 a m3.
I recommend this for any exterior application.
On the other hand you can get some cuts of Aroca (sp) "teak" for less than half that price, and its fine for interior applications...but you do need to pick it out.
Technically speaking I'm not sure if its actually Teak.
These prices may have come down with the financial crisis!
