New Buyer Checking Boat History
What is the best way to check the history of a boat? The last boat I looked at a freind of mind 'a broker' checked and found the boat had sunk in Katrina. Is there anyway I can check myself the history of a boat before I get serious about it? Thanks, Russell

If the boat is CG documented you can go on to the CG registry and look up former owners and names that the boat has had.

If the boat was documented go to this USCG website Office of Science and Technology
