Hi cruisers,
Myself and several others copped the full brunt of
Hurricane Irma. We were moored in Penns Landing Marina East End Tortola,
British Virgin Islands. I had written approval from local insurer Nagico. Since the disaster Nagico have been behaving extremely poorly. Their first foray into reneging on our claim was to ask us to refloat our 'written off' boats. We pushed back on that. Their latest spurious claim was that Penns Landing had 'suddenly' become a
BVI unapproved safe
marine refuge. One of my Nagico insured cruising colleagues has been
mooring at Penns Landing for the last 7 years. The message is very simple. Do not insure with Nagico! You have been warned. We are now ramping up our efforts against Nagico 'dodgico'!!
