Irma Salvage Sales?? Where to find?

Can anyone tell me any websites where the salvage boats are being sold? Tried googling and have only found 1 or 2 boats.
Thanks

Steven.

Looking at the write ups and disclaimers, my opinion is that you need to travel down there and walk the yards. There's no way to even build a list of "I want to see" boats off of these listings. Everything is so vague and non-commital.

You might try The Moorings / Sunsail brokerage. Last I heard they had over 150 total losses in their BVI fleet.

A lot of the better boats are being listed by brokers privately. My Bristol 54.4 Harkaway was totaled and the salvage is being sold by a broker. Heart broken but someone is going to get a great deal.

I was heart broken to hear your boat was totaled as well . They just don't build them like this any more and I'm sure never will . We have a bristol 45.5 .

Are you looking for a new one or have you already bought a new boat.

Regards John.

Re: Irma Salvage Sales?? Where to find?

I’ve had Bristol’s for 28 years and sailed them on the east coast and the Islands.... 41.1, 47.7 and the 54.4. Never had a claim in the 28 yrs in the islands so I reduced the insurance coverage 2 yrs ago to save a few bucks. My “totaled” check will arrive shortly, and I’ll decide. But it will be another Bristol. 45.5 or 47.7.

I hope you had good coverage and you don't loose in the transaction. . We were thinking of a larger bristol ourselves but there are none on the market right now. I have done so many upgrades on our 45.5 I would be hard pressed to do it all over again to the next boat. Working on a new teak lined fiberglass hardtop bimini now, will be posting a video on our site showing that build soon. . But footitis has struck us so we are looking for something larger . Seems more family will want to visit for longer stays , so more cabins may be nice. If the right boat comes along , who knows...

Try USAuctions.com, power and sail boats, selling on EBay frequently. No affiliation.

I second the USAuctions...we have bought from them before...and found them great to work with.
