In Need of a Recommendation for a Trucking Company

I need to have a boat trucked from Palm Beach Yacht Center in Lake Worth, Fl. to Glade Boat Storage in Moore Haven, Fl.

I haven't used a trucking company since 2005 when I trucked a boat from Calif. to South Padre Islsnd, Texas. It was a great company but I can't find my card or remember their name.

Any recommendations on a company you would use would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: In Need of a Recommendation for a Trucking Company

I cannot suggest a trucking company so I'm no help on that, unfortunately. It occurred to me, however, that if your plan is to re-rig the yacht at Glades, the height of your mast may become an issue if you're planning on taking it down river to the West Coast as the bridges over the river in Ft. Myers have a clearance of only 55'. Hopefully that would be enough, Yes?

FWIW...

Bootlegger, do you mind sharing the name of the trucking firm? I thought that was the point of this forum.

Ah... Well then, as you have your transport lined up, I hope all goes well. When you do head down River, there are a number of good stops you can make; and, after you reach lower Pine Island Sound a number of places worth a visit. (See the interactive cruising guide on ActiveCaptain.com for specifics and reviews. If you are not already a member, registration is simple and free.)

Good luck with your travels!
