GIECO marine insurance,

We always knew that Geico excluded the Bahamas and the Caribbean from our policy and that if we ever wanted to go there we would need to get an addendum. We just got the addendum for the Bahamas only and it is $250, which I didn’t think was bad.

The kicker is that Geico will not allow us to be out of the US more than 120 days. We did want to head to the US Virgin Islands and all points between to Grenada. We had toyed with the idea of spending 2021 hurricane season in Panama.

Geico marine has been the most affordable for us howeverWe may be looking for other insurance after this season and any recommendations would be appreciated

In speaking to my customers they can get insurance outside the US with one firm or inside the US with another. One job that fell thru because of COVID, we looked at leaving France with one insurance and then flip to another in the Caribbean. May want to see if that would work.
