You could walk into any DIY/modest fees boatyard in North America and find at least 6 or more potential "Free" Sailboats,Powerboats of all flavours, materials etc.
The usual stipulations would be that you start paying storage while you resurrect them and/or launch fees to get them gone. This is what I have seen in all the yards I have walked thru and and that has been many!
I could walk you thru the present yard where I am at and point out a dozen or more.
I have been around boats all my life and have never gotten used to seeing the practice of letting equity rot away on land or in the water.

After five years that boat is long gone to the dump. You would have to go dig the small pieces out of the local landfill.
