Just another reason to dislike, and distrust insurance companies. I filed my car as inactive with Ca., and the registration was $10 a year. I dropped the insurance, and had no problem getting new insurance. It was at a high rate, but I then took my time to shop around. Cancelled the first, and did business with the reasonable company. Maybe I lost a couple of hundred dollars doing it that way, but I paid no insurance for 4 years, so I know I came out ahead..........i2f
