Commute to Your Boat, How Far?

Just wondering for those of us that don't have a dock right outside our door, how far away is your boat?

How long does it take you to get to your boat from home each time you go sailing?

One boat is 90 miles away and it takes two hours each way. The other lives on a trailer in the back yard.

Four hours. I often do it during the night to avoid traffic and not lose the daylight hours onboard. Just like doing night watch.

Re: Commute to Your Boat, How Far?

Used to be 200 miles, 4 hours, 4500 ft elevation, got tired of that. Now the marinas 3 miles and the summer moorings 200 yards.

Re: Commute to Your Boat, How Far?

At the time I lived in California and the boat was in Queensland, Oz. That didn't last very long!
