Buying Boat in Florida from Out of State

It looks like we may be buying a boat in Tampa, FL.

As we are from Texas, we will be moving the boat out of Florida immediately after the sale back home. Can anyone tell me how the sales tax issue is handled in Florida for out of state purchases?

...and Florida just passed a law allowing more time for a newly purchased boat to remain in the state but exempt from sales tax. If things change and you need to know the specifics, just call the local county tax assessor.
