Re: buying a 50' Alden Teak Deck. Crazy or insanely crazy?

For some video lessons and DIY techniques for replacing a wet deck core look at Sail Life youtube videos of about 1 yr ago. Owner replaced entire deck core of 38' Warrior. As I recall it was not a teak covered deck. His deck was a fiberglass/plywood/fiberglass sandwich and he removed the outer fiberglass plus plywood and kept the interior fiberglass layer.
It was a significant job but did not cost all that much in materials eg $6K or so. He did the job mostly by himself except for laying up the layers of fiberglass at end with help of some friends in a covered shed.
