Buyers broker

Hello all, we have found a boat in Puerto Rico that we intend to buy. A while back I posted in the Caribbean section asking for leads on a buyers broker to work on our behalf. Reply suggested looking through the Yarchworld site which did have a list of brokers in the area. There were 10 contacts, I’ve reached out to them all, not one reply back. This is new to us, we think we understand the process, make an offer, escrow, survey, water test, re negotiate, purchase.
Our question is, is a buyers broker a necessary component to the deal. Or Can we navigate through the deal ourselves.
