Hey Sailors,
I do understand the
current state of
boat insurance policies for people in my position. (Older
boat in great shape). I also understand that in order to qualify for coverage for the
South Pacific I have to 3 adults with decent
offshore experience to get said coverage and I have to move out of the SP by November once I'm there.
My question is: What are people actually doing who stay in the SP year-round and are running with crew who are not considered seasoned enough to qualify for traditional coverage? Do you get liability coverage upon arrival to SP from a carrier there?
Are most people crossing from Mex uninsured for the
passage?
What is the reality, please and thank you!
