Avoiding high ATM fees in Greece

Hi , the Greek government reasonably recently extended the charge at atms. Because it’s fixed Irrespective of amount it really hits small amount withdrawers like me.

It’s fixed depending on the bank at €2.50 to €3.00

A U.K. friend has a citi bank atm card and seemingly is not charged that fee. ( it doesn’t really appear as a separate fee it’s added to the withdrawal amount )

Has anyone come up with a way that avoids this fee , sure I can use contactless and I do and Greece has essentially mandated every shop has to take debit cards , but the Greeks still like a bit of cash.

Equality I could withdraw bigger chunks of cash , but that goes against the grain
