Here's another suggestion- use the same insurance
company as the previous owner.
I chose Robertson & Robertson Yacht Insurance
in my area, but it turns out they were also the insurer for the PO. Since they had a survey on record
from 4 years prior, they said they would cover me until my report was available.
That was good, because my surveyor
took over 30 days to produce a written report
In the end, the insurance company helped me with that too, since the surveyor
(who was avoiding my calls & not returning messages) was on their "recommended" list.
