It passed the survey with flying colors. The sea trials were in 30 knts of wind, 3-5
foot seas and she was amazing. I move aboard starting tomorrow after I remove and catalog all spares.

Been shopping for 2.5 years.

Today I pulled the trigger. Thanks to everyone for your help.

Congratulations! I looked at her probably a year ago. Beautiful boat. Pilot house was a little short for my 6'4 frame

Not an easy one... I would say avoid the debt, but we paid our boat off in installments... in fact, I gave over my entire salary for a year to make up the difference; and it was worth it....

First weekend out in our new yacht. Viv and I planned it just for the two of us, bit of romance etc. Then 15 yr old son said he was coming along, so no one to look after the dog. Okay bring dog. Then my parents invited themselves too so they drove 300 miles to be with us. Still we managed but it wasn't quite the be alone with the wifey weekend we thought it would be.

Offer accepted on the 32, awaiting surveyer that wont screw us on the price. We are taking her for a sea trial Saturday morning.

Hey Brad,

I've been watching her for 3 years now. I never thought I could afford something like this. The economic times are the only reason I was able to do it.
The pilothouse would indeed eventually give you a headache at 6'-4".

It is indeed a thing of beauty.

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. I like the handrails on your boat. I'm thinking of doing some low solid ones out of aluminum on Anian. So much to do............

Loved her till the steering cable broke on a close haul. Survey being done this morning, not sure about the sea trial today the wnds are going to be 25-30 mph...

Good luck and hang in there. A broken steering cable while close hauled must be an interesting, if not slightly disconcerting event. Good luck with the survey.

Suvey still underway when I left this afternoon. So far he found:

There is an exhaust leak
The keel is a wing keel and has some damage (from a hurricane)
Where the keel meets the hull (aft) there is a crack in the fiberglass that needs repaired
There is a diesel leak somewhere, you can smell it
There are a couple spots on the cabin top where there is slight water damage
The rudder is slightly bent
There are a couple small places where water is leaking through the anchor locker
It will be a couple days before I get the survey. Nothing so far says it is a deal breaker.
