Any chance the OP has some pictures to post (or a link)?

Based on the positive response here, the OP might also consider submitting his post (along with some pics) to his local sailing mag for publication.

As for the pictures...I prefer: Clothes ON, engine OFF.

I do, actually! Here is a link Unfortunately, I'm not much of a photographer, and rather than photos wrote a 170-page journal (what else would one do? )

Of course, these photos are all shirtless, because if they weren't, CFers would just ask for bikini pics anyways, and the engine is always off - because for a while there wasn't one

But as stated the want to live on the boat has consumed me for 35 years. We'll see how it goes but my wife and I are going to give it a shot late this year. Moving from fresh to salt will be an eye opener but I figure I will have another 40 hours a week to keep the boat pristine. Stay tuned for future updates.
Hey, good on ya, Moneypit (oopfs! sorry!) (not) Not really sorry, but great that you are getting out there to explore. Enjoy.

Thank you brownsoarsman, and I agree with virtually all the previous comments on your posts.

There is one other thing that I would like to highlight: your mention of fellow CF members. They seem to have assisted you on- and off the forum.

I would like to praise those who have helped you.
You might like to nominate them for "CF member of the month" award. The winning member(s) (I think there are different categories for "member of the month") will get then one of those of those certificates/sashes across their avatar(s).
