We went to a lecture by Bellows recently in Marathon and bought his book. The book focuses mostly on land travel and air flights and doesn't really cover a lot on cruising by boat. For the $12 it costs it is certainly got a lot of useful information and is well worth it, but it doesn't answer a lot of specific questions about going to cuba by sea.

I have sailed to Cuba many times and found this book to be extreamly useful, current and informative.(try revisiting Section 2: "Getting to Cuba: By Plane, Boat and Kayak) also Google Earth the listed ports.
Do you know of a better book?

He does talk about going to Cuba by boat, but only for two pages, and what he says is that if you do, you run the risk of a $250,000 fine and ten years in jail. That does not jive with what I hear from other sources.
In his lecture he did address the lack of other books on the subject of travel to Cuba published in the USA, and the problems he had finding a publisher.
It is my understanding that boats owned by US citizens regularly visit Cuba and manage to avoid hassles, and I would be interested in hearing from people who have advise on how to do this.

Check with your other sources. I could be one.
