Maine Publishing
I was told Maine Publishing was a good place to purchase some nautical books. I attempted unsuccessfully to order a book on their website, and tried their listed phone number but I have been unable to contact them. Does anyone know if they are still in business?

Forgive my lack of computer skill, I got it from a blog(?) called "The Liveaboard Caatalog" and when I clicked on "Maine Publishing", or "Main Publishing Order Form" I got to their site. I tried an order, which means they got my credit card info, but there was no response by email or a verification screen or anything else. At this point I am less concerned about the book I ordered than I am about foolishly giving my credit card info.

IMMEDIATELY
Report the incident details to your financial institution & to the police.
Cancel the card.

Thanks. I've taken care of the credit card but I won't bother the police at this point. I think they may just be liveaboards that are out sailing and not paying attention to their business at this point. At least I hope so.

I have never heard of them either, but the Owl and Turtle bookstore in Camden, Maine ( Welcome to the Owl and Turtle Bookshop) is a nice place to visit and they carry a great selection of books on maritime subjects.
Did you mean International Marine (a division of McGraw Hill) by any chance? You can find their books at Boat Books - McGraw-Hill Professional Online Book Store (and Amazon, of course).

I just googled The liveaboard catalogue and got to here
The Liveaboard Catalog - Google Search
Then here
Catalog of Plans & Services, yacht designs, naval architect, boat, small craft, marine publishing, books, equipment, supplies, liveaboard, cruising
Then here Marine Publishing Order Form
It says ma Rine calalogue, not maine
Is this it?

Ooops, you are right, it is "Marine", not "Maine". I was trying to order "Living Aboard: Frequently Asked Questions".
