IBEX U is going abroad next year

Producers of IBEX U, a regional version of the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, are bringing their traveling education and trade show to Europe.

Bournemouth, United Kingdom, will be the first international city to host an IBEX U event. It will take place April 14 and 15 at the Bournemouth International Centre. IBEX U is produced by Professional BoatBuilder magazine.

“Ever since the launch of IBEX U two years ago, the European boatbuilding segment has been asking that we bring the exhibition and conference east of the United States to boatbuilders worldwide,” Carl Cramer, show director and publisher of Professional BoatBuilder, said in a statement.

The United Kingdom’s IBEX U event will be tailored for the British boatbuilding community, incorporating seminar topics specifically designed to address the needs of U.K. boatbuilders, designers, repairers, surveyors and marina/boatyard operators.

Beginning Nov. 7, United Kingdom tradespeople will be given the opportunity to request seminar topics online at www.ibexu.com . A final conference schedule, produced by the Professional BoatBuilder staff, will be available Feb. 1.

Cramer said one international IBEX U event will be held annually, in addition to U.S. productions. Future European dates, as well as the IBEX U 2004 U.S. dates, will be announced in the future.
