Takacat Vs Aircat Vs True Kit

I'm trying to make a decision to buy one of these pontoon boat as a tender for our 40ft yacht, Takacat Vs Aircat Vs True Kit. Does anyone have experience, comments, advice?

I'm particularly interested in feedback on the Aqua Marina Aircat as it's so much cheaper than the other two.

Re: Takacat Vs Aircat Vs True Kit

Couldn't see the bottom of the Aircat or True Kit to see if they have a skeg for directional/turning stability which is important. Also as any inflatable, a bigger tube diameter is preferred.

Another brand to look for is Saturn. We like our 12' version (3.65m) w/20" tube and skeg. Very stable and a 5hp motor easily gets 2 people and gear up on plane. If you will have more than 2 people or more gear may want a 8hp.

Relatively inexpensive and if the PVC lasts 3-4 yrs in the sun before having an issue, then a fairly good value.

A 12' is fairly big even for our boat and you should check to see if you have deck space to inflate it.

Please read my extensive review of the Aircat. I misspelled Aqua Marina, you will find my post under Aquamarine Aircat 335. Rob

Our True Kit does not have skegs. That said, it does track reasonably well though it does slide a bit in turns. Ours is 5 years old and the PVC in as-new condition, in tropical and sub-tropical sun its entire life and with covers only the last year.
