Check your
network over time for errors. You may have some other component putting errors on the
network. We had a N2K humidity
sensor in a
weather station go bad and put bad data on the network. Over long periods of time various other
instruments would randomly need resetting because of it. Once corrected, the problem went away. The AP24/AC42
autopilot, however, never was effected.
Do you have a
B&G Triton or Triton keypad in the network? These were causing the "no
autopilot computer" problem also, and a
software patch has been release for them.
