I like
cushions just fine, but sometimes in foul
weather I'd just as soon not get them wet and then have to dry them. Or perhaps it's a short sail and pulling them out is not worth the trouble. In the cool/cold season, bare
fiberglass seat suck the heat right through your clothes. Not sliding around would also be nice. So what about applying something like Seadeck (self-adhesive 6mm EVA foam anti-skid) on the seats, and then puting the
cushions over that when desired?
My
deck and
cockpit non-skid is sufficient.
I've also been thinking about the
cockpit coaming, where I sometimes sit. I have some pads on that, this might be more versatile.
I understand the life expectancy is only about 5-7 years. I would think it would be at the high end of that on a seat as compared to the
deck.
