Tempo Marine products (Tempo Products) has shut down production and closed its doors. From what I hear the old man (early 80's) has had enough squabbling between his kids that he doesn't want to turn the business over to them so he up and locked the doors 3 weeks ago.

So if you need/use any specific Tempo products you might want to stock up now. Clearer heads may eventually prevail and the product line will reemerge under a new name or brand. The again, maybe not. Feel sorry for the employees though.

I have already tried to get some large size Tempo spreader boots to no avail. The only things I can find to replace them are pathetic! One looks like a diaper with a buckle wrapped around it. Eww!

It is not an unusual thing to happen....there have been a number of marine related companies that have gone thru the same thing....It happens to marinas also...Dad gets out of the picture...the kids close it down for condos.....There was a small yard in Baltimore Harbor that this happened to...the kids bled it dry......
