Ya know, I can't document that statement. I think the CMP sales rep told me. I may have just assumed that it was forged because it looks forged. I guess you could cast it but I think it would break, not bend, if cast.

My money would be on cast, but who knows.

I can understand manufacturers wanting to keeping the details private. It has the advantage that specifications (construction methods and material choice) can be changed without making any announcements, but that should not stop us trying to find out .

Consumers should know what they are buying.

Noelex, we're both wrong. I asked them and was told " machined from plate".
