Refrigeration specialist/installer in Solomons Island, Maryland

I'm looking to replace the old 110v refrigeration compressor with a Frigoboat system (including keel cooler). I'll "outsource" this particular project completely.

Can anyone recommend someone who can do this kind of work in Solomons Island, MD?

I know there are plenty of marinas and service providers in the area that are able to do this installation. I'm looking for specific recommendations.

Thanks!

I don't have the contact info but you should try contacting coastal climate in Bowie. They are the frigoboat dealer and will be able to suggest reputable installers. I know some guys in Annapolis but coastal can probably suggest a Solomon's local.

It's probably not distance logistical, but why not give straightrazor41 a shout??? I bet he would do a great job if it worked out....

Ocean options is the other shop in Annapolis but I think Annapolis cruiseair may own them now. My friend Mike Coleman worked for them. Annapolis Cruiseair is great but they always had a long backlog of work every time I called. Maybe winter is different. Definitely give them a shout.

Ocean Options HQs (in RI I think) closed Ocean Options in Annapolis due to the gross incompetence of the staff here. It was so bad that the reputation was starting to hurt business in RI. Annapolis Cruisair bought some but not all of the distributorships.

Annapolis Cruisair is busy because they are good. They're worth waiting for.

Hadn't heard of gross incompetence at ocean options. My friend who worked there told me the old man who ran the Annapolis shop died and they were stuck with tons of equipment and customers but no one to run the place so the widow sold. Maybe I'm thinking of a different shop?

Must have been a different shop. Ocean Options Annapolis was the "field" office of Ocean Options in Rhode Island. I believe Ocean Options is a family business and the manager down here was a brother or brother-in-law or cousin. After years of increasing complaints from both customers and the local trade that had to deal with OO for parts the Annapolis shop was closed and the manager was let go. That had to be an unpleasant conversation. I wonder what Thanksgiving and Christmas are like in Rhode Island? *grin*

You can wander into Davis Pub and ask the regulars at the bar about Ocean Options.

Apologies to the OP for drifting.
