Reasonably priced Slipway around Sydney/Botany Bay

Reasonably priced Slipway around Sydney/Botany Bay
Hi
can anyone suggest a slipway around Sydney/ Botany Bay where the manager doesn't greet you wearing a balaclava?

Whilst I do not expect anything for nothing and fully understand the principles and models of commerce in that everyone in business needs to make a profit. I just don't like being raped and pillaged every time I need to use a slip.
This time I will need to be on the hard for a few days as there are a few things that need doing.

The more I save here the more I can spend on her, if that makes sense?

Cheers

Manni

Re: Reasonably priced Slipway around Sydney/Botany Bay

We met a guy who said he took his boat up the Lane Cove River for a bottom job. Sorry, the name of the place is lost in the mists of time, but you might find it by Googling. Also,
there's a small slipway adjacent to the pier at Palm Beach in Pittwater, called something like Gonzales or Gonsalves. It may be that the yellow pages will be your best friend with this one.

FWIW, Mark Barry-Cotter of Bayview Slipway was very reasonable to work, in our experience.

I completely understand if you do not want to go to Pittwater for it; I'm just more familiar with what's available around there.

Good luck with it.

Ann

Hi Ann

thank you for the information, I am going to use the guys down here at Botany Bay. Lets see if they are reasonable.
I will be doing a weekend run to Pittwater on the Auzzie Day long weekend though, beautiful water ways up there. Safe travels in Tassie.

Regards
Manni

Lewis's at Taren Point are decent people. They are always busy though.

Thank you Ann and Lazza for your feedback. I have ended up going with Endeavour slipways as they are close and the guys seem reasonable.

Next project is to rewire her :-)
