Question Privilege 585

I am currently looking at a Privilege 585 to purchase. Year 2003.
In this year manufacture was from polyester resin, so there is the potential for osmosis. Does anyone have any experience with this brand. Also the bridge deck clearance seems too low for the width. How do they perform with regard to slamming. Any information would be very helpful and appreciated.
Overall sailing performance etc.
Thanks

Re: Privilege 585

Is that the model Sailing Zatara have got? Their recent sailing videos in the Caribbean seem to show a fair bit of slamming in short seas, but that could also be their inexperience.

I don’t think you’ll be able to tell much from that, they looked pretty freaked out when the wind was only 35kts, so they’re used to very friendly weather.

Re: Privilege 585

Omg. If you can get a 585, do it. My perfect boat.

We have a 2006 P615; same hull but I prefer the helm attached to the cockpit as in the 585. The 615 is solid and she flies!10 it’s is pretty easy. Every once in a while you get slap but the Privileges cannot be beat in term of comfort aboard.

We run her in crewed charter and we are looking at a smaller Privilege for ourselves. The 585 is out of our budget, otherwise we’d be getting one.

Good luck!
