Oceanair hatch screens/shades

Hi I have 4 large Oceanair hatch screen/shades installed 1 year ago and in that time 2 of the bug screens have come out of the slider bar. The screens are simply rolled up at the end and glued to form a batten that slides into a slot in the slider bar. In both cases the glue seemed to have deteriorated. Oceanair has a contact form on their website and never responded to my inquiry for repair, which I ended up trying to do myself. Very disappointing for such an expensive item.

Had exactly the same experience about 4 years ago. Personal repair holding up well, though.

I have not had any trouble with mine. But I don't operate it often

Re: Oceanair hatch screens/shades

Bummer, just ordered one of these for our boat. They sent me the wrong size initially. A screen for lewmar 54 instead of 60. Box marked correctly but wrong product inside.

Took about two weeks i think for West marine and oceanaire to get there act together and get the return label sent to me. Guess what, lewmar 60 screen now backordered and zero update going into several weeks since order placed. I was promised an update last monday, nothing but crickets

The product did look nice when I got the wrong size, a bit spendy for the materials i thought but was still excited until I read this thread about poor quality. Fingers crossed
