These show red or white depending on how fast you toggle the on/off switch - pretty cool.
I put a couple of those at the Nav station. They are nice. I also bought a red-white touch sensitive 18" flex light. Also a nice addition.

Re: Marine Beam LED's Outstanding

Okay, enough of the mush, but seriously, I went out surfing for replacement nav lights and found these where I had not seen them before. I'm excited about the sealed nav lights. After reading some of the lit on the site, then getting a reply email on a Friday at 8pm to a question, I had to order all new lights. Then, I started looking at what others had said and found this thread and think that I might have stumbled upon some really (finally) nice replacement lights. Since I started sailing in 1988, NO ONE has ever had lights that worked consistently, and it was always due to corrosion, or impacts, etc. Sealed has to be a big step forward, impact resistance is another, and not-fragile to voltage is a big third. I had lightening take out the bebi bulbs I had soldered in, thanks to this post, now I really look forward to putting these puppies on in Oct, gotta look at them until them. In summary, I'm not an engineer, but keeping up with led techno over the last 5 years, the specs on these are spot on from what I can tell, and I recommend watching the video of the melting bulb on their site. Yea, entertaining to say the least. s/v Renasci

Re: Marine Beam LED's Outstanding

Just bought a whole set of the Marine Beam LED bulbs for our navigation lights , including the automatic LED for the anchor light .

Interested to see how it all adds up and how bright they are compared to the incandescent . I will wright a review shortly.

Regards John.

Re: Marine Beam LED's Outstanding

Just took possession of a full set of Nav Lights (their IP 67 line) as well as an assortment of new LED cabin light fixtures.

Have yet to install them but the quality of the product appears excellent (more than I can say for similar lights I looked at in some of the larger marine supply chain stores; even the new 'name brand' models from the same mfr who made my original nav lights).

Pre-Order and Order Handling service from Marine Beam was absolutely first rate. Both Jeff and Nathan replied back to some detailed questions with good advice and assistance. My order was shipped the same day. Product well packed and a large order was filled accurately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever to the company. Just happy to report positively where credit is well deserved.

Glad to hear that. I purchased one but have not yet fully installed (mast is down for a full re-rig).

LEDs are great, but the big question after each new bulb goes in is has it added to RFI on the boat? Worth checking.

No, but I do know that the one we bought puts out VHF interference in the tri color mode.

I would hope the strobe is very bright and that takes power. If it's not bright, then all you have is a blinking anchor light

As far as I could tell, its the anchor light blinking.
Note that you will see a blinking light much easier than a steady one.

Re: Marine Beam LED's Outstanding

Strobes usually are a lot brighter - that's probably all it is.

Which one did you buy? I've got my ordering finger on the trigger, deciding between the 'smart' one for 99 bucks and the 'dumb' one for $129. I'd rather not swap out the tricolour only to put the old one back.
I've been very happy with the marinebeam cabin lights and fore and aft nav lights.

We installed a marine beam masthead tri color light after our Fijian Bebi light failed. That was 4 years ago and it's been working perfect with no interference on the SSB or VHF.

Would buy again
