Re: Marine A/C reviews and recommendations

Huh! Lithium batteries donít require an oil change or filling up with fuel. 1000 watts of solar and 600 amp/hr battery bank and my aircon runs for free happy days

Re: Marine A/C reviews and recommendations

14000 Btu/h Self-Contained of MarinAire is exactly what I wanted. I have an older Hunter 30 and I was sick of using hillbilly AC.
I love this unit because it has heat , AC and dehumidifier. I wished I would have looked for a more compact unit.
This unit took up quite a bit of space. I lot my entire closet ans now struggle to find places for my weather gear">foul weather gear.
Trade off but worth it!

How quiet are they? Would they be suitable for an installation under a berth? I have the air handler from an old Cruisair system there at the moment and want to upgrade, but I wasnít sure if I needed a split system there or if I could manage noise wise with a self contained unit.

Re: Marine A/C reviews and recommendations

The new self contained units have a sound shield option that encases the already pretty quiet compressor.
