Re: Interphase Forward-Looking Sonar

Totally aware of that we have two units on board one inside the cabin and one mounted outside at the upper helm position.

The outside unit has developed fog inside hence not waterproof it would seem.

Cheers

Re: Interphase Forward-Looking Sonar

My display is in the cockpit under the dodger, doesn't get wet. I have heard of some units getting condensation as you have. Should go away after unit warms up.

He knows about this.
Garmin took over Interphase a while ago. Hope he is still there.
Take care.

Aside from your issue, make sure you have software upgrade 1.19 or later.

Unhappy Re: Interphase Forward-Looking Sonar

I Have an old Interphase Probe that is mounted out in the cockpit. Our cockpit cover was ripped off in Cyclone Yazi. There was no problem with water,
plenty of it) however, between the cyclone and the trip from Port Hinchinbrook to Townsville the unit was exposed to sunlight The screen was irrepairably damaged by sun exposure
We had many years of good service from this unit.Iam informed by the agents that parts (a new screen ) are no longer available.
If anyone is upgrading, I would be willing to pay a reasonable price for your old unit. ( I do not need the transducer)

I just bought a perry 44 passagemaker she has a interphase SE 200 with no display. The seller said he did not know if it worked. I have done a little research on it and maybe you csn use any VGA monitor.
