Hamilton Marine and Buck Algonquin

Reading another thread I remembered that I have been remiss in giving a thanks and very positive review to Hamilton Marine and Buck Algonquin.

Last year I ordered a garboard drain plug to install in the keel to drain an inaccessible sump. The item was a special order for Hamilton Marine. I got the part number and information from the Buck Algonquin website which I gave to Hamilton for the order. However when it arrived I realized that the drain plug was only accessible from the inside of the flange and I needed an externally accessible plug. Also the plug appeared to be brass while the flange bronze.

Called Buck Algonquin who confirmed all the above and gave me the correct part numbers for an all bronze, external plug part. I called Hamilton and they immediately agreed to the return and exchange even though it was a special order item.

Could not have asked for better service from both companies. Also highly recommend all the products from Buck Algonquin like the packing box hoses, stuffing boxes, etc.
