How about 2-3 years between coats? Depending on where you live of course. I recommend a yearly maintenance coat to be safe.

You can do a search here on "Honey Teak". As I'm sure there have been other comments on it. I live in the Caribbean and we usually have to re-coat every 6 months to keep regular varnish up good. And that is with a start up of at least 8 coats if not 12.

2 things that are against this "varnish"
1) Expense....very.
2) Tendency to NOT do a yearly maintenance coat because it looks so good. If you let this stuff go it's hell to pay striping it off.

NO teak above is varnished on my boat, it is all oiled.

Below, I use polyurethane, prefer it to varnish as it is water clear and never yellows.

I used honey teak six years ago. Spent a lot of time putting on about 10 coats and then many coats of the sealer. After six months in Florida and the Bahamas, it was wearing thin. Took it all off when I got back and went back to good quality varnish. For a sealer, I use Cetol clear coat. Looks great. Once a year touch up is all it needs.

I've used Honey Teak in tropics and was very satisfied. Same with Bristol Finish. These do have a thicker look than Cetol or varnish - not quite as appealing to me but maintenance wise easy.
