Too bad they don’t sell in litres, like most of the rest of the world. A litre is a litre is a litre.
Actually, I though the Bahamas was metric …
Quick research… They are metric, but not when it comes to retail fuel.

Re: Fuel Rip-off in Georgetown, Exumma
I bought gas at pump 1 this morning from the OP shell station in GT. Thought they were very close to being right on. In fact went a nickel over an even dollar and he said no problem. We be back, cheaper than Minns.

Funny. I wonder how many people on yachts get a welfare check.

With due respect, my post was a reply to another post insulting Americans. I'm surprised you missed that and didn't think to chastise that poster.

There are many inhabited "yachts" permanently anchored in south Florida where I suspect the inhabitants qualify for welfare and may be receiving it.

Not quite the same. The people who came here left England to escape conditions there. Later, folks from other countries came and since the language of the country was English, they had to learn it to communicate.

Yes, and our 6 gallon jerry's have a mark on them denoting the fill point.

This type of sentiment embarasses me as an American.
Unless you're over 91 and were involved in the Invasion of Normandy, It's not you (or I) that should be taking credit for something that happened 73 years ago.

You would be surprised. I've heard they are called 26 week cruisers or some such in Mexico, cause that is how long the unemployment check comes.
Now what is going on where I live is the tremendous surge in disabilities, seems particularly disabled veterans.
I have pictures on my phone where a guy had a handyman / home repair service poster on his truck specialized I believe in roofing, and a disabled veteran tag on the rear of the truck.

I don't think so, my belief is that there was this little known service called the Royal Navy or some such that would have had none of that
However, they may well have been speaking Russian, cause I do not believe Hitler had any idea of that mistake. Seems only the Russians believe the weather report in Russia
