Elastatether Anchor Marker

This was such a cool idea I couldn't resist trying a new product.

It's a long thin bungie cord that you attach to the anchor, and it floats a marker on the surface. Cool idea. Poor product.

It's sold by Defender, but they do not do any customer service for it, any problems are pushed back to the parent company.

I tested the device 3 times. The first time the stretchy cord broke. I was really disappointed and was grateful I saw the float floating away. I repaired it, and it worked the second time. The third time it broke again. I gave up. Wrote to maker.

They told me to be careful how I launched it, etc. All of which I did. They offered me a replacement part for 50% off. No thanks.

Just wanted to warn consumers--"don't pay the $40 plus shipping, it's not finished in it's design." Hoping they'll figure this out instead of blaming it on user error.

IMNSHO, poor idea in the first place. I am not in favour of anchor buoys.
