Don't buy at ShipStore.com !!

On May 21st I bought from them sets of replacement Yanmar engines ignition keys.
I order them with 2nd Air shipping (costly)

10 days latter I'm still waiting the delivery.

But the point is they don't answer emails
they don't answer their own system of contacts
they don't answer the phone (voice mail...)
they don't return call when you leave a message

I'm not even sure they really exist with such a profound silence...

So my recommendation is quite clear: don't buy from them

Or at the contrary is there anybody here satisfied of their services?

If you google "shipstore.com complaints" you get will oodles of hits.

I ordered a Lowrance HDS display unit from them on January 15th online. It was listed and ordered at an incredibly low price, and I was skeptical but ordered anyway. Received immediate automated order confirmation. On 1/26 I asked for order status via email. Never received a shipment or response to my email inquiry. My charge card was not charged.

That's the facts. I won't add my opinions on this.

The Defender report not accredited is what makes me not trust BBB. Defender ships before I order, as far as I can tell. A late afternoon order from Pennsylvania had delivery the next morning with no extra charge for overnight. Defender is my go to supplier.

and if you'd read the report you'd see they have hardly any complaints, those they have received were dealt with properly, and have an A- rating. That was my point - in contrast to the other company with many outstanding, unresponded-to complaints.

Alecadi, you ordered by credit card?

OK, Send an email and a letter (with proof of delivery or other service) cancelling the order. If it does magically shoip, refuse the parcel.

Call your credit card company and find out their proceudre fro a charge-back, they all have them. You ordered goods by rush delivery, nothing has shipped. You've tried to contact the merchant and no one responds to multiple contact means.

The credit card company will reverse the charge. Now you can order keys from someone who has them in stock and knows how to ship them. And at this point, you might just use Priority Mail. It isn't guaranteed second day, but it is a whole lot cheaper for "usually 2-3 days" service.

Meanwhile...I think a number of members have remarked that just about anything will fit in the Yanmar keyway. Check any keys or shims you have, they'll probably work.

At what point does it become easier just to fit a new ignition lock? Put a new one on my Universal, $20 from Jamestown Distributors and it came with 3 keys.

I have used Hodges Marine over the US and was more than happy with the service. I am sure there would be many more genuine dealers on the net over there?

The lock has no problem, the only problem was having only ONE key... needed to have duplicate (just in case)
