Discovered way to save big on towboatus!

Stumbled on this today and wanted to share it with you:

I both insure my boat with GEICO and have BoatUS. Turns out that if you put BoatUS on your GEICO policy you get upgraded to GOLD (which is really great because you get FREE dock-to-dock towing), still get the magazine etc AT HALF THE PRICE!! For me that dropped my bill from $200 annually to $93 - with an increase in coverage!

The dock-to-dock towing is really important if you ever have to be towed to a yard other than your own to be pulled, have a specialized repair done etc. My "old" BoatUS policy had a 50% coverage for dock-to-dock which, even for short distances, can be ungodly expensive!

P.S. GEICO/BoatUS was terrific to us getting our boat repaired after Irma. We feel fortunate that they kept us on. Just sayin'...

How do you “put” Boat US on your boat insurance policy? Sorry I don’t understand how that is done.

Just call Geico customer service. They will add BoatUS to your policy. They then transfer you to BoatUS who removes the charges but keeps your magazine, cards etc.
