Counterfeit Safe T Alert CO/Propane Detector

I was just notified this morning that the CO/Propane detector we bought from Amazon a year ago is counterfeit. Safe T Alert.

I guess this shouldn’t surprise me. The unit failed and I’d brought a new (different brand) down with me to replace it. I was going to take the old one back and complain, as it’s only a year old. Now I know why!

I generally avoid buying marine electronics from Amazon, because I’ve experienced this in the past (along with many other products like batteries, razor blades, etc). Just a heads up.

Thanks, for the warning.
Did you report it to Amazon?

Actuality, Amazon reported it to me! Shocking, I know.

A warning to all of us: Even on Amazon, if the price looks a lot cheaper than anywhere else, it’s probably a fake.

Re: Counterfeit Safe T Alert CO/Propane Detector

Reminds me of when I once needed to remove the battery from my carbon monoxide detector because the constant beeping of the alarm was causing me to have headaches and become lethargic.
